At Dental 99, our dentists are providers of the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), a dental benefits program that covers part or the full cost of some of your child’s dental treatments if your child is eligible.
If your child is eligible, they could use up to $1000 over two consecutive calendar years for basic dental services. You can decide how to use the allowance based on your their needs. The good news is that only at Dental 99 you can make the most of your child’s CDBS benefits.

On the day of the visit, before the treatment begins, you will sign the CDBS consent form. When visiting some dental clinics, you would have to pay the bill on the day of the dental appointment and then claim a benefit from Medicare. However, Dental 99 is a bulk bill dentist in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, so you don’t need to pay or claim for your appointment; we will bill Medicare instead.

When booking an appointment with Dental 99, our app will ask you for your child’s Medicare number, and you can use their CDBS allowance. You will also need to provide an alternate payment method (e.g. a credit card) in case your child proves ineligible or has used up their CDBS allowance at the time of the appointment. We will handle the claim and, if required, payment processing automatically. With our Dental99 app, all of your children can have individual profiles under your account.
